CEDE Aruba, a local development foundation, launched this on- and offline donation platform in April 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic affected our island. In only a couple of weeks it became very clear that Aruba’s society would be tremendously affected by COVID-19. The initiative supports the most vulnerable people on the island. Aruba has only one economic pillar; tourism, which came to a complete standstill. Thousands of people lost their job and are now dependent on food assistance.
We are Happy to Give Back to people who need it most!
Happy to Give Back is focused on providing food assistance to help the community. We have partnered with three renowned local organizations who help different groups in our society; from families, to kids and elderly. 100% of all funds raised through the Happy to Give Back campaign, will go to these partners.
Fundacion Pa Nos Comunidad (FPNC) is Aruba’s official Food Bank. Their mission is to fight and prevent poverty, emotional distress and social exclusion by promoting participation, poverty care and the general welfare on Aruba.
YMCA Aruba is a non- profit organization that supports the community through programs and services for kids and youth development and social responsibility. Their meals-on-wheels program has been helping our community out by delivering 200 warm meals a day.
Since 2001, this foundation has been making sure less fortunate children receive their daily breakfast at school. ‘Happy to Give Back’ is supporting this program for the upcoming school year, in which 650 are already enrolled to receive their breakfast.
Our goal is to raise $1MLN by the end of 2020. Help us reach this goal!
